Combos Sweet & Salty Vanilla Frosting Pretzel Review
We talked about these Salty & Sweet Combos a while back on the Nosh Show, and frankly, I’m surprised it took THIS long for something like this to come out. Salty and Sweet is obviously NOT a new concept, and when was the last time Combos really innovated ANYTHING? I feel like the last big innovation was the use of pretzel over cracker…and that was like two decades ago. SO, I fully embrace this new change in Combo variety, and welcome the future flavors of red velvet, pumpkin spice, crème brulee, mint, and of course, gingerbread. Do it, Combos. DO IT.

Crunchy oven baked pretzels packed full of sweet vanilla frosting filling. Delicious Stuffed With Awesomeness.
I popped one of these New Sweet & Salty Vanilla Frosting Pretzel Combos into my mouth and crunched. The pretzel was salty and crunchy, per usual Combo texture. The vanilla frosting inside, honestly, tasted more like Oreo Crème than any kind of frosting. Maybe not AS sugary sweet, but still just a nice general sweet crème flavor. Combined with the salty pretzel, these were pretty tasty. Nothing that blew me away, since I’d had, for example, yogurt covered pretzels before, and these were similar in concept. Still, there was fun factor, and to me they were not unbalanced – I didn’t think they were too sweet or too salty. I really enjoyed these – simple flavor, good execution. Even if the Combos themselves looked a LITTLE sloppy. Still, regular Combos also have cheese spread everywhere too – so whatever.

Police ID suspect in killing at NC college
Police secured an arrest warrant on Kenneth Stancil, the man they believe is responsible for the shooting death of a Wayne Community College employee Monday.
Goldsboro Police Chief Jeff Stewart said they had not discovered a motive for the killing of Ron Lane. Stancil, 20, was a former student at the college and used to work with the victim, according to police.
The number "88" can be seen on the Stancil's cheek - which is known as a white supremacist code for "Heil Hitler."

A rifle was used in the killing. Authorities are searching for the suspect but do not believe he is still on campus.
Maj. Tom Effler of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said at an earlier news conference that they were looking for Stancil for his possible connection to the killing. The victim was shot inside a building on campus around 8:10 a.m. ET."This was not a random situation," Effler said. "It was an isolated situation."
He said Stancil had been identified by staffers at the school.

Stancil was described as a 5'11" white male with a bald head and a tattoo above his left eye. He wore a blue jacket and blue jeans at the time of the shooting.
The school was placed on lockdown, and many students had hidden when the alert went out. College President Kay Albertson commended the students and staff for their actions.
"It's indeed a sad day for Wayne Community College," she said.
Tara Humphries, the school's public information officer, said students have been allowed to leave campus.
Wayne Community College was founded in 1957 and offers more than 100 degree programs, diploma, certificate and continuing educations programs.
