Brady leads Patriots back to Super Bowl, top Jaguars 24-20

Give 'em a hand: Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are heading back to the Super Bowl.

Brady shook off a hand injury and threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Danny Amendola with 2:48 remaining , rallying the Patriots to a 24-20 comeback victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC championship Sunday.

Brady, wearing a black bandage on his right hand after needing stitches to close a cut that happened on a play during practice earlier in the week, showed no signs of being hampered.

And, with the game - and the season - possibly on the line, the Patriots star came up big again.

"I've had a lot worse," Brady said. "I didn't know that on Wednesday. It was a crazy injury. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday was a little scary. Then I started getting some confidence and today we did just enough to win."

Brady finished 26 of 38 for 290 yards and two touchdowns to Amendola for the Patriots (15-3), who'll play Philadelphia in Minneapolis on Feb. 4.

It's the eighth Super Bowl appearance for Brady and coach Bill Belichick, who have won five times - including last year's 34-28 overtime rally against the Atlanta Falcons.

"It's pretty amazing. Just to be on a team that wins these kinds of games, it's just a great accomplishment," Brady said. "I'm just so proud of everyone on our team, we made so many great plays. Defense played so great when they needed to."

Blake Bortles and the Jaguars (12-7) led 20-10 early in the fourth quarter, but couldn't hold against the defending champions. The NFL's second-ranked defense kept Brady and the Patriots at bay for most of the game, but lost linebacker Myles Jack and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus on consecutive plays on New England's winning drive.

"It's a locker room obviously with a lot of pain," Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said. "I'm sure they're hurting inside. I'm hurting. The players are hurting."

With New England trailing 20-17, Amendola returned a punt 20 yards to put the ball at the Jaguars 30. Brady hit James White for 15 yards, Amendola for 8 and then the quarterback ran up the middle for 2 yards and a first down.

On first-and-goal from the 5, White ran for a yard to set up the go-ahead score from Brady to Amendola.

Jacksonville - looking to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history - had one more shot, but Bortles' throw on fourth-and-15 to Dede Westbrook was knocked away by Stephon Gilmore.

"Guys are upset," Bortles said. "It's not what anybody expects - contrary to popular belief. Those guys fully expected to win that game."

The Patriots ran out the clock, with Dion Lewis' 18-yard scamper with 90 seconds remaining sealing the victory. And they played most of the game without tight end Rob Gronkowski, who left late in the first half and didn't return.

Brady's hand was the most-scrutinized body part in Boston since his ankle before the 2008 Super Bowl, and Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling's right ankle tendon - the bloody sock - in the 2004 playoffs.

Brady hurt his right hand during practice earlier in the week.

"Of all the plays, my season wasn't going to end on a handoff in practice," Brady said.

"Mentally, it probably stressed him out a bit," Amendola said. "It's hard to throw a football with stitches in your thumb. Everybody knows how tough he is."

Some Patriots fans were worried, but not Belichick.

"He's a tough guy, we all know that," Belichick said. "But we're not talking about open heart surgery here."

Brady warmed up without a glove on his hand, and he came out throwing. He completed his first six passes for 57 yards to march the Patriots down the field. The drive stalled when Brady was sacked by Dante Fowler Jr., and New England settled for Stephen Gostkowski's 31-yard field goal.

A wide-open Marcedes Lewis gave the Jaguars a 7-3 lead 45 seconds into the second quarter with a 4-yard touchdown catch from Bortles .

Leonard Fournette gave Jacksonville a 14-3 lead midway through the second quarter with a 4-yard TD run, hushing the crowd at Gillette Stadium.

The Jaguars made some big mistakes just before halftime. Bortles completed a 12-yard pass to Lewis on third-and-7 from the Patriots 44, but Jacksonville was called for delay of game.

That wiped out a first down, and Bortles was sacked by Adam Butler on the next play to force a punt. Jacksonville was called for six penalties that cost the Jaguars 98 yards, while New England was penalized just once.

With just over two minutes left before halftime, New England's offense took over and the fans chanted "Braa-dy! Braa-dy!"

And their quarterback delivered - with some help from two big penalties.

On first-and-10 from the Patriots 40, Brady threw a long pass for Gronkowski, who was injured when he got popped by Barry Church. Church was called for unnecessary roughness, putting the ball at Jacksonville's 45.

"It was a tough call," Church said, "but you've got to go with what they call."

A.J. Bouye was called for pass interference on the next play. The 32-yard penalty gave the Patriots the ball at the Jaguars 13. After a 12-yard catch by Cooks, White ran it in from the 1 to make it 14-10.

Josh Lambo gave Jacksonville a 17-10 lead 4:37 into the third quarter with a 54-yard field goal. He added a 43-yarder 8 seconds into the fourth quarter to make it a 10-point game.

But Brady & Co. were just getting started.

After Jacksonville went three-and-out following Jack's fumble recovery of Lewis, Brady and the Patriots offense came out with a sense of urgency.

They marched 85 yards on eight plays to cut it to a three-point deficit on Amendola's 9-yard TD catch with 8:44 left. Amendola had a 21-yard catch on third-and-18 from the Patriots 25 early in the drive.

"Big play in the game," Brady said. "Ended up being a huge drive for us."

FEW FLAGS: The Patriots' one penalty against the Jaguars is the fewest called on one team in a playoff game since the 2011 AFC championship - when the Patriots were called for just one in a win over Baltimore.

BRADY'S BOUNCEBACK: Brady's passer rating during the first three quarters: 87.5. In the fourth quarter, it was 136.3.

SOLID JAGUARS: Bortles finished 23 of 36 for 293 yards and a touchdown in his first AFC title game. Fournette had 76 yards rushing on 24 carries.

Daily Blog for January 4, 2018: Winter storm 2018: almost the entire East Coast is covered in snow

A winter storm is threatening much of the East Coast with dangerous blizzard conditions.

If you live on the East Coast of the United States, know this: A major winter storm is underway.

Yesterday, almost the entire East Coast was under a winter storm watch or warning. And today blizzard conditions are expected in many coastal areas in the mid-Atlantic and in New England. It’s the last thing East Coasters are looking forward to after enduring one of the coldest holiday seasons on record.

Even Florida is experiencing weirdly cold weather, with a freeze watch or warning in place for much of the state. Wednesday, the light dusting of snow has brought some Florida cities to a standstill since they don’t have snow removal equipment or ice trucks. (Check out all the watches and warnings for each county here.)

As the storm crawled up the East Coast, it experienced a rapid drop in pressure, and grew intense, quickly. The storm now resembles something like a hurricane: a cyclone spinning around a central eye.

And you can already see the snow accumulations from the storm from space. Almost the entire East Coast is either covered in snow or by the storm.

As the storm reaches New England, it’s expected to gust with strong 30 to 50 mph winds(and could reach as high as 70 mph), bringing dangerous, power-line-snapping blizzard conditions and coastal flooding.

Boston could see a foot of snow, and officials are worried about power outages, which bring the threat of cutting heat for many residents. The storm is also causing dangerous, icy flooding in Boston and in other coastal New England areas.

New York may see half a foot of snow as well. Accumulations will decrease the further South you travel. (There are some exceptions, like Virginia Beach, which saw blizzard conditions) Though Southern cities like Charleston, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia, are only expecting a few inches of snow and freezing rain, it can quickly create a dangerous situation on roadways. And as the South has shown us before, a tiny amount of snow can cause mayhem.

Two notable things are happening right now.

The first is that it’s intensely, oddly cold in the Eastern United States.

Here’s a map modeling the average temperature anomaly (how far temperatures are from average, around the world, for this time of year). Overall, the world is 0.5 degrees Celsius warmer than average (thanks, climate change!). But parts of the East Coast of the United States are 10 degrees below normal.

Canada and the United States are currently the most unusually cold places on Earth right now.

Remember: Winter weather is very dangerous!

CNN reports that 11 people have already died in the outbreak of winter cold throughout the country. So it’s important to stress: Winter weather is very, very dangerous. Cold temperatures and high winds are a recipe for frostbite and hypothermia. Hospitals routinely see an uptick in admissions for cold-related symptoms and heart problems in the days after a snowstorm. And then there’s traffic: About 800 people die in cold-weather related traffic accidents every year. So stay warm, stay off the roads, and be safe.

The pursuit of Zero Dark Inbox is a diligent movement to eliminate all unread messages, but what about the rest of us? 

What is the number of unread emails right now, at this moment, without changing anything in your inbox even if it's on your gmail account or your other email account such as yahoo, outlook, or AOL, That would be 3,487 in the case of Jen here, 1 in the case of Rebecca. More about what that means in a second, but first, a bit of a backstory called the New Yorker's Sylvia Killingsworth has embarked on an exploration of what she dubs in her headline as zero dark inbox or having absolutely zero unread emails or messages in one inbox.

She writes down that she's got four e-mails in her inbox, but she's aiming for that number to be zero, Like many practitioners of the "inbox zero" system, I treat my inbox like a to-do list, with each e-mail representing a task.

She's adhering to a method which is promoted by Merlin Mann, a lifehacker and proponed of Getting Things Done; essentially it's the digital version of opening all your letters and bills when receive them and dealing with them then as opposed to setting them then as opposed to setting them aside and waiting for the bill collectors to start bagging you to pay up (not that we would do that, of course).

Today i read 25,768 unread messages and it took nearly four hours to read those unread messages and I have not read e-mails in over eight months, but i had to get that done.

Happy New Year 2018

Today's Star Date is Monday January 1, 2018 and This Year is a new year that begins on my Youtube channel, but not without a word last year which was a year of ups and downs, tragedy, triumph and revival. I have done 579 videos on YouTube in 2017, and many more videos in 2018, perhaps more blogs in years past on my YouTube Channel.

For Those of Us fortunate enough to do YouTube videos over the past five years on my YouTube Channel it was quite the same, but now things will be a little bit different than usual because I will do more daily blogs than ever before along with news videos, food reviews, road trips, and elevator videos and it will me my job in 2018 to endeavor each video on YouTube by the finest work of this organization on my channel.

I have a feeling that this will get better as we get along that I will become a better journalist on YouTube. I can do the best by working hard than anyone else just the way I did when I did my first video on YouTube on July 1, 2012.

I stand upon the great shoulders to my fellow YouTubers to make 2018 a successful year like it was last year It's an honor to do those videos like i did in the past.

Without watching my videos on youtube none of this would happen, so thank you for watching the first blog of the new year. We will do daily blogs every day to earn more to your preserve and loyalty. It means so much that you watch my videos in 2018 and add more subscribers and accomplish our goal.             

2017 Year in Review

Well the time is here, in 2017 we have been a lot together through filming videos on YouTube, we also have been been a lot together through dark days and nights, ups and downs, seasons of hope, joy,optimism, tragedy, triumph and revival. Whatever the story was in 2017, I had one objective to get it right.

This Year, We Remember the Losses of my step grandmother Helen Sweers, My Coworker Marisa VanTil, Youtube Personalities Charles Green, AKA Angry Grandpa, James Brock and Former Principal of Grandville High School Chris VanderSlice. We Will Never Forget those days, Because these people are in my hears forever.

But All in All 2017 was a great year and we had lots of memories on YouTube and 2018 will be even better, Thanks for what you do, It means everything and That's my richest reward.

Poppin’ Jalapeno Doritos Review

Today i Review the Poppin' Jalapeno Doritos, This product was introduced in 2016. I bought this item for 4.29 at Wal-Mart in Grandville, Michigan.

I recognize I’m in the minority here, but I’m not a Cool Ranch Dorito Guy. I’ll get down with them if I have to, but I’ll never choose them over Nacho Cheese. But given the occasion, I’m tempted to shake things up this year with these new Poppin’ Jalapeño Doritos.

Now, I can’t be sure exactly what Poppin’ Jalapeño Doritos are trying to mimic. My HOPE is that they are flavored like Jalapeño Poppers, one of my all-time favorite appetizers. This would slot in nicely into my Super Bowl binge. However, they may simply be having fun with the name and this might just be jalapeño seasoning applied to Nacho Cheese Doritos. The bag only displays two normal-looking Doritos that have been set ablaze; no imagery of jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese, probably some other cheeses, and possibly some bacon all deep fried in a crispy blanket of bread crumbs and fat. My fear is that Poppin Jalapeño Doritos will merely be spicy Doritos – something we have available all the time. And when it comes to spicy Doritos, I doubt anything will ever top Doritos Roulette, which was a really fun game to play with your mother who thinks regular Doritos are too spicy.

The ingredients for Poppin’ Jalapeno Doritos include jalapeños, romano cheese, cheddar cheese, and a bunch of the familiar spices like garlic and onion powder. Outside of the jalapeño, these are all the same ingredients in Nacho Cheese Doritos just in different ratios based on their placement on the ingredient list. Poppin’ Jalapeño Doritos don’t smell all that spicy, so I gave em the good ole’ tongue test and licked one like the freakshow that I am. I swear – this yielded a genuine roasted jalapeño flavor, along with some garlic powder and familiar nacho cheese seasoning. The spice level is weak by my standards – a slight tickle in the throat but nothing to pop your shit over.

When you eat them like a normal human being, Poppin Jalapeño Doritos are more cheesy than anything else – all too familiar. The roasted jalapeño flavor is there but quickly fades to generic spice behind the recognizable zesty Nacho Cheese blend of regular Doritos. The heat, modest as it is, surfaces and lingers as you round out each bite. Kind of tasty, but nothing new by any stretch.

Poppin’ Jalapeno Doritos are, sadly, not Jalapeño Popper Doritos. They’re Nacho Cheese Doritos with a little added heat.

I went to Wal- Mart to get trash bags for my room because i was out them already, AA batteries because I was low on them, body wash and gatorade. I stocked up on cookies, beer and coffee creamer.

We had Pizza from Wal-Mart the same store that got stuff that i need for my house. I put all my stuff away after dinner.
